Kerman Center of Oral Hygienists was founded in 1985, headed by Dr. Alireza Fathieh. In 1987, having admitted three cycles of oral hygienist students, it transformed into the Dental School and started accepting students in Doctorate of Dental Surgery program. The first group of alumni of Kerman Dental School graduated in 1993. Starting in 2000, and following the launch of Oral Medicine Specialty Program, our Dental School embarked upon educating specialty students. To this date, we maintain graduate studies in Specialty Doctorate and PhD programs in nine majors. We consider it our mission to enhance oral and maxillofacial health of the public through nurturing D.D.S. and specialty doctorate dental students, and basic and applied research across different fields of the dental major. We believe that, relying on prominent faculty and employing of capable, competent, and committed man power, we are able to lead southeastern universities in theoretical and clinical dental education, dental research, and public dental health.

Kerman Dental School includes the clinical departments of Oral Medicine, Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics, Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Oral Health and Community Dentistry. Our clinical departments apply the most advanced dental medical science to educate students and residents and provide the highest quality care for patients.
